CAREER OPPORTUNITY Exam Development Coordinator – Sonography
The ARRT has an exciting and rewarding fulltime career opportunity in the Minneapolis/St Paul, Minnesota area for a Registered Radiologist Assistant or certified technologist with a background in sonography as an “Exam Development Coordinator”.
The Exam Development Coordinator works in an environment of continuous learning, research and publication and serves as a project lead for committees. These committees consist of imaging subject matter experts from across the country and focus on the development and evaluation of test forms for selected certification exams.
Summary of Duties and Responsibilities*
Item Development • Determines examination item and image needs • Edits all approved items prior to entry into item bank • Monitor item bank activities
Production of Examination Materials • Oversees the preparation of the examination forms • Proof read drafts of exam forms • Reviews examination forms at the testing center
Examination Committees • Assembles draft examination forms • Plans activities and organize materials for committee meetings • Facilitates committee meetings
Exam Content and Eligibility Materials • Periodically review and update content specifications with exam committees • Review and approve sections of certification handbooks pertaining to assigned exam programs • Assure accuracy of content specifications and clinical requirements that appear on website and in certification handbooks
Examination Scoring and Reporting • Periodically reviews exam results and examinee comments • Recommends enhancements to scoring procedures and reports
Ensure the Security of Examination and Items • Works with the Exam Security Coordinator to evaluate possible exam security cases • Reviews legal documents for copyright infringement litigation and other exam security litigation • Testify as an expert witness in copyright infringement litigation Miscellaneous • Write, review or edit other ARRT documents as requested
