Job Summary: The University of Michigan Health System (UMHS) and its Department of Radiology seek an experienced radiologist or nuclear medicine physician to serve as our UMHS Associate Chief Medical Information Officer (Associate CMIO) and physician lead for the Department of Radiology, with oversight of Departmental information technology systems. The Associate CMIO provides leadership to the enterprise clinical application and IT teams across UMHS missions, and directs information technology resources to meet clinical, educational, research, and administrative needs for the Department of Radiology and other departments we serve. The Associate CMIO, in collaboration with the UMHS Chief Medical Information Officer and the Office of Clinical Informatics (OCI), drives technology & workflow adoption, innovation to continuously improve quality of care to patients, enhance clinical training, and accelerate health sciences research.
This position is a combination of an administrative position within UMHS and the Department of Radiology, and clinical practice as a faculty member of the Department of Radiology, with 50% Associate CMIO effort and 50% Radiology faculty effort.
