Sonographer Huntersville, NC Mooresville, NC Positions available across Novant Health
The team member's number one job responsibility is to deliver the most remarkable patient experience, in every dimension, every time, and understand how he or she contributes to the health system’s vision of achieving that commitment to patients and families.
The sonographer will work in concert with the radiologists to obtain high quality ultra sound images and provide exceptional patient care. Exams include general, gyn and vascular.
High school diploma required. Associates degree preferred. Graduate of AMA-approved RT program. Depending on type of Sonography performed, the following specialties apply: Abdomen, Breast, Fetal Echocardiography, Neurosonology, Obstetrics and Gynecology, Adult Echocardiography, Pediatric Echocardiography, Vascular Technology, or Musculoskeletal Sonography required.
Must have a minimum 3 years full-time hospital experience in sonography preferred. MARDMS certified. MUST be RDMS (abdomen) and RVT.
Ability to successfully complete generic and department-specific skills validation and competency testing; good communication skills, capable of functioning alone in diagnostic rooms; working knowledge of various types of ultrasound equipment, able to adapt to new and various situations and procedures according to age of patient served. Has ability to interpret information to identify each patient’s requirements for care relative to his/her age specific needs.
Mooresville office hours: 8:00 am - 5:30 pm
Huntersville office hours: 9:00 am - 5:30 pm
40 hours per week
