Children’s Hospital Cardiology Center is currently recruiting a third Pediatric Cardiac Sonographer to join our team. We are searching for a well-qualified candidate with a thorough knowledge of congenital heart disease to work with our two pediatric cardiologists. We see patients both in our child friendly outpatient clinic, as well as providing weekday and on-call echo service for inpatients at Women’s and Children’s Hospital. The successful candidate must understand the challenges of working in a pediatric clinic, and enjoy interacting with children and their families. We see patients with a wide variety of congenital and acquired heart disease. As part of the University of Missouri Healthcare System we offer exciting opportunities to work with residents, fellows and attending physicians in an academic setting. On call duties are nights, weekends and holidays, typically light and every third week. Our lab has two Philips IE33s, one Vivid 9 and the portable Philips CX 50. Sonographers generate technical reports for physicians using McKesson software. Our sonographers participate in the monthly educational echo conferences and QI/QA meetings.
