Advanced Practice Registered Nurses / Physician Assistants
Job Description: Advanced Practice Registered Nurse must be proficient in patient care for high risk OB patients. The successful candidate will assist physicians with clinic, organizing visits and performing clinic procedures, answering EPIC in-basket inquiries and filling prescriptions. APRN must have a high level of expertise to perform assessments/diagnosis/treatment of actual/potential problems of patients. APRN augments a physician's ability to provide medical services to patients; collect and document data, conduct diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, order and schedule laboratory studies and professional consultations and provide direct patient care services. APRN will extend the patient care and administrative services of the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences physicians. APRN will develop a plan of care that maximizes the patient's health potential and includes: ordering of appropriate diagnostic tests, identifying and prescribing appropriate pharmacologic agents when needed, and identifying and planning non-pharmacologic interventions when appropriate, and developing a plan for education of the patient and their family. APRN will work autonomously as well as in collaboration with a variety of individuals to diagnose and manage patients' health care problems; and will serve as a health care resource, interdisciplinary consultant, and patient advocate. APRN will also coordinate the multidisciplinary care of patients, facilitating all necessary consults, assuring that care is timely and appropriate. Position is responsible for documentation and billing notations for care that is given.

Basic Qualifications: Current AR APRN License (or eligible to apply); RN License; MSN with National Certification as a Midwife or Women's Health Nurse Practitioner; 3 years full-time experience as an RN; evidence of experience in leadership or independent practice role; and current or eligible for prescriptive authority privileges. Three years relevant APRN experience preferred.
