Advanced Practice Registered Nurses / Physician Assistants
The University of Rochester Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology is recruiting for Staff Midwife at the Assistant/Associate level in the Division of Midwifery. The responsibilities of this position will include provision of clinical midwifery services within the framework of an academic medical center. These services include both outpatient and inpatient care of patients of the division, including management of labor, birth, postpartum, and newborn care. The position also includes resident education. Outpatient care includes provision of prenatal care, Centering pregnancy, well-woman primary and gynecologic care.
We deliver over 600 babies and 12,000 office visits per year at 2 office sites. We serve a diverse population, and have a teen pregnancy program. Research and teaching opportunities, as well as the development of advanced practice skills, such as colposcopy. Approved for NHSC loan repayment.
Candidate must have an Masters Degree with AMCB certification in Midwifery. The applicant must be eligible for NYS Midwifery license. Experience preferred.
