Our new Chief of Pediatric Otolaryngology joined us in March 2016, and we are seeking a second surgeon in response to overwhelming community response. The Children’s Hospital is the only pediatric hospital in the region, with a population of over 800,000 people. There are 24/7 in house Pediatric Hospitalists, Intensivists, and Neonatologists. Within the physician practice, there are General Pediatricians and Pediatric specialists from Gastroenterology, Pulmonology, Hematology and Oncology, Cardiology, Adolescent Medicine, Infectious Disease, Critical Care, Neonatology, Emergency Medicine, Radiology, Endocrinology, Neurology, Psychiatry, Child Abuse, Surgery, Urology, Orthopedics, and the largest Maternal Fetal Medicine practice in the State. Our Pediatric Pulmonologists manage the region’s only Cystic Fibrosis and Pediatric Sleep Centers with dedicated Speech Pathology and Audiology.
Lehigh Valley Health Network (LVHN) is a nonprofit community hospital system with over 1,100 beds across 4 full service hospital campuses, an employed multispecialty physician group with 840 physicians and 160 practices, and an academic environment with 20 fully ACGME accredited, free standing residency and fellowship programs including General Surgery and Pediatrics.
