Founded in 1868 with only two deaconesses assigned to care for patients, Passavant Area Hospital has grown exponentially all while maintaining its small town charm and tight knit community. Since its humble beginnings, Passavant has grown into a 93 bed, 2x Magnet Designated hospital with a state-of-the-art facility.
Our Passavant team plays an integral role in the health of the community by continuing to be more accessible and striving to be more advanced. The Ultrasound Technologist at Passavant will work autonomously to provide care to three to four outpatients when he/she arrives for his/her shift as well as supporting the Emergency Department. This person will mostly perform abdomen and vascular imaging and will take stat orders from the doctors.
Passavant’s imaging team consists of talented technologists that are excellent teachers and leaders. The Ultrasound Technologist at Passavant will need a strong patient understanding and the ability to work independently with flexible patient volumes. He/she will be expected to learn Passavant’s protocols, routines and units as well as work independently and build relationships with co-workers within the first three to six months.
